In order to maximize learning and “preserve multiple realities” (Stake, 1995, p. 12), participants will be selected based on their unique perspective. Stake asks, “which cases are likely to lead us to understandings, to assertions, perhaps even to modifying of generalizations?” (1995, p. 4). This multiple case study has three hundred and fifty (350) respondents that are related to Good Shepherd Cathedral School which are the students, teachers, and parents.
The researchers will conduct interviews to twenty (20) selected parents, twenty (20) selected students, and twenty (20) selected teachers. The Good Shepherd Cathedral School has a total of one thousand three hundred (1300) students from ECE, Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior High School. For the survey of this study, two hundred ninety (290) of students, were able to meet the selection criteria and taken as our respondents for the survey.Sampling Procedure The researchers will conduct a purposive sampling method. A purposive sample is defined as a non-probability sample that is selected based on the characteristics of a population and the objective of the study.
Purposive sampling is also known as judgmental, selective, or subjective sampling. Following the purposive technique, the researchers will choose respondents consisting of students, teachers, and parents from Good Shepherd Cathedral School.Data Gathering Procedures Data to be presented will be collected through interviews, observations, and surveys.
Data to be presented in this study will be collected through interviews to be conducted to twenty (20) selected parents, twenty (20) selected students, and twenty (20) selected teachers. Aside from conducting interviews and observations, the researchers will also collect data through the use of survey to two hundred ninety (290) students of Good Shepherd Cathedral School. Interviews will be done from January 2018 to February 2018. Surveys will also be done on January 2018 and February 2018. In addition, the researchers will also gather data through the documents from the Good Shepherd Cathedral School that will provide as a basis of data to support the information that are collected from the respondents. The researchers will also gather data from experts and professionals through collecting information from their articles, journals, thesis and studies to support the study.
