Toni Morrison awarded with the Pulitzer Prize for her modern-day novel, Beloved. The writer uses colour to portray the effects of the chief characters like Sethe, Beloved and Paul D. After the slaves are free, they notice that the universe is non merely consisted of two colourss, black and white, which represent the two races during bondage, but besides other beautiful colourss.
