Child’s upbringing must be done carefully with love and care by responsible person who has good values and strong ethics, this is done in family. Family is needed to provide a child best care to grow him up physically, mentally, socially as individual.

Recreational functions: Reproduction is main function of family as without reproduction continuation of society is not possible. It is vital function of family. In my family my grandfather gave birth to my father and my father to me and in future I will give birth to someone. Here reproduction is the need for family continuation and all society continuation Protective functions: Family provides emotional support and protect child from society’s evil things. It gives child knowledge about good and bad, truth and lie, right and wrong.
It helps him to be live without fear and with love and care. My family protected me and my siblings from bad things from society. Religious functions: Parents have their own social identity considering in terms of race, ethnicity, religion, and social class on children at birth. This fact provides preference for birth to married parents. It is given as social status to child in that family in which he takes birth, e.g upper class family child birth social status is upper class while lower class child has lower class social status.
